After a long discussion with my better and wiser half, we agreed the Shop needed a bit of a woman’s touch so that if I wanted to bring clients over it was presentable, but more importantly for taking pictures of the products produced. After my wife shared with me her vision, I wasn’t fully on board. I’ve been married long enough to know, that the wise man knows better than question his wife. Glad I chose wisdom over foolishness.
It’s Easy, Simple, Just do this…
Many might think the heading says everything, and you know exactly where it’s going. The truth is however, those were the very words that I said that I later ate. First and foremost I have no faith in home builders sadly. I’ve not been at a single house where 16″ centers were to be found anywhere. Square and level, is somewhere between finding the end of the rainbow with a pot of gold and winning the Powerball.
Luckily enough, my father taught be how to fix another persons bad choices when it comes to wood working and construction. The outcome of all of this, is 2 weeks later I finally completed not just the one portion of the wall, but the entire wall, new White Oak shelves, as well as, cleaned up the above cabinet storage and contructed a more appealing Hickory rough cut, table top.
The Shop is finally back in operation
